Has anyone done camera tracking with footage taken with the Note 9?
I have downloaded ‘phone tester’ from the app store and it gives the focal length for the camera as 4.3mm and the sensor size as 5.6x4.2mm - am I safe using these numbers in the camera settings in the solver (5.6mm for sensor width)?
I will be using a gimbal stabilizer and using high contrast markers (1" red balls on a snowy background) any other tips? I will likely only get one chance to capture the footage.
I plan to take the footage at the highest resolution (unless you advise something else) and will turn off image stabilization since I will be using the gimbal.
I have tried doing this before with markers that were hard for the camera to track and after much tweaking got a solve that barely worked- there was slight distortion of the edges of the image and it was obvious there were issues with the solution- I suspect that the numbers for focal length or sensor width from the ‘phone tester’ app were not quite right…
ANY suggestions on how to make this work would be appreciated!!
I am using Blender 2.79b
