I have created a simple, low poly pistol with a UV texture map, but when I go into camera view and press [P], I cannot see the model. I can see it when I press [P] outside of camera view.
Have you scaled the camera at all? Scaling the camera will produce undesired results by apparently affecting the clipping values. This can cause objects which are normally in view to be clipped out of view.
Also, please specify which version of Blender you are using when asking a question.
