i’ve got a problem with my camera (v 2.40)…
i didn’t changed anything but there is nog camera, when i press 0 i get the camera view wit hthe dashed lines so i can see what part is viewable but the camera misses…
if i take an over all look there is no camera and from camera view of i can’t move it…
i added a new camera and when i render it renders from that camera of…
but i can’t see the camera… like it’s invisible or something …
i hope you all know what i mean, else i will try to explain it an other way
it’s not something with the layers i figured out…
if i add a new camera it should show at the 3d cursor right?
well… it doesn’t…
so i probably pushed a button where you hide the cameras with…
You can always go through all layers selecting all objects through just pressing A and then reset their locations with alt-g. That way you’ll find your dear camera again, hopefully ^^.
:o … i really don’t know what to do… i only used layer 1 -3 so it can’t be in layer 23243 i suppose…
but normally seen if you would “add -> camera” you would see a camera at your 3d cursor right?
but i don’t…
probably someone wants to check it out…
i’ll put it online in a sec: http://qubicz.rebyc.nl/blender/dobbelsteen.blend
In the 3D window, go to view in the headermenu and press “Global View” (it’s currently set to “local view”). Then go to layer 1 and that’s where I found your stuff.
Sorry for my bad explanations, I guess I got caught up with the speed or such. Anyways, here’s some screenshots along with detailed explanations of what I did and how:
Here you see how the 3D view is currently in “local view” mode, I simply switched to “Global View” by pressing the button which says Global view (just above the button I currently had my cursor at)
That gave us an EMPTY 3D view, not what we wanted eh? So I pressed the first layerbutton in the bottom middle of the 3D view and VOILÁ, camera, lamp and die is now there! Note that you can just switch between layers using 1-9 on your keyboard.
Hope this solves your problem. Good luck!
PS. The local view, is, quite obviously, a view in which you’ll only ever see the blender-object you had selected when you switched to that mode. Used for splitting HUGE scenes up I suppose.
