Campfire in the woods

Not bad!

What you have here is already pretty good. But if you wanted to push it further, the ground could use more detail. Right now, I can tell that the ground is a mostly flat plane with a texture.

However, real forest ground would be more rough and uneven. There would be rocks and roots poking out of it, as well as dead leaves and sticks spread over it. If you are going to make an image focussed on a closeup of a forest floor, using textures with true displacement or actually sprinkling some objects can go a long way to help realism.

An other thing. I don’t know how realistic you are trying to be, but real fire would emit light much more orange than this. The current color is too white for fire, more like a light bulb.

Whereas, what strikes my attention is that: “a campfire has color.” In fact, quite a texture of colors.

If you are sitting at a campfire and “snap a picture with your phone,” you might see “something like this” which is not really what your eye sees at the time. The actual image would be “laced with color,” varying with the temperature of the flames as they rise.
