Can a fluid sim move objects?

Hello all,

I’m planning on doing a fluid simulation, that will be incorporated into some live action footage. In short, it’s a heavy flooding of water through a restaurant dinning room. I’ve decided to make it seem more realistic, I am going to model some tables and chairs (basic forms), that I can use as collision objects (ill position them in the same spots as where the actual table and chairs are located, so it appears the water interacts with them). But I also thought I’d use some realistic modeled tables and chairs, and place them in the video. I’d like the fluid to not only flow around those tables, but move them.

My question is, is this possible with only a fluid simulation? Or would I need to key frame the table/chair movements, then run and bake the fluid sim, and try and time everything up correctly.

Thanks for any input,
jeff

The fluid simulation exherts no forces on any objects so you’ll have to fake it.
