Can GLSL shaders be exported from Blender?

Is it possible to make a GLSL material in Blender and export it for use in other software? If so, how do I go about doing this?

I’m interested in using Blender as a material editor to make shaders for Vizard.


At this point you can’t get the GLSL code for the materials made using nodes or the material editor out of blender… but it would be an awesome feature… probably not too hard for a dev to setup… maybe if enough people show interest… someone would be keen to build that functionality?
