Can I do 'offset mode transform type-in' like I can in 3D Studio Max but in Blender

I am a hobbyist 3D modeller and would like to select a vertex\edge\face and move it in one\several axis by typing in a offset number that will +- increment the selection. For example if a vertex is 10 on the x axis I want to be able to type in say 2.5 to move the vertex to x:12.5.

I have used 3D Studio Max and this capability is available by toggling a button that is left of the x,y,z type in coordinate boxes:

Does Blender have this function? I have tried googling for an answer but I have not found an answer.

G = move
X,Y or Z for the axis
Type the number of units

G X 2.5 would move the selected item 2.5 units along the X axis

Start reading the manual. There is a link in the blender help menu
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.6/Manual/3D_interaction/Transformations/Basics/Grab

Yes that works. Thank you.
