Can I fake reflec with OpenGL cameras?

Just wondering if I can make a ring of cameras around an object looking at the world/environment, that if set to OpenGL render could send their vision back to a texture for applying a psuedo reflection map. Kinda like the Zbrush Matmap idea?

I’m just not sure if you can access other cameras in a scene for texture-image input (I know that the VSE can access multiple cameras in a scene).

Yes amdbcg is absolutely right, under the texture panel settings use environment maps to see what you want is get or not.
