can i have rigid body physics *and* armature animation at the same time?

i can have a cube set as a rigid body and fall and bounce on a table, or i can have it parented to an armature that plays an action in the game engine, but i can’t seem to have both.

is there a trick i’m not thinking of, or is this just not possible?

I second this question

Yes - it can be done.

One key concept is that deformations of your Blender object meshes do not automatically update your Bullet physics meshes. This means you will have to call .reinstancePhysicsMesh() on your object after any deformation. Here is a sample of the .py you’ll need to run:

If you are having trouble getting your Action to play altogether, we can help with that, too. Post a reduced .blend and we can solve it.
