I want to save the animation to the Asset library
I tried to use mark as Asset
But it doesn’t work
Marking an animation as an asset will only save the first keyframe- it functions like that for the pose library. To see that it’s marked you can either go the asset library menu or select the rig and open the pose library.
If you need to move an animation to another blend file or store it somewhere, it’s better to just append the animation from whatever blend file you’re referencing. That’ll save and apply the full action data.
Okay, I understand that blender does not support saving animations. There are only workarounds.
They wrote that they are planning to clone in the future, but this function is still not there.
Is there an addon that simplifies this process?
Appending is a very simple process- it’s a literal singular button in the file menu. No add-on required.
Yes, but it’s inconvenient. 1 You have to store everything in one file. 2 There is no preview and hierarchy for navigation like in the Asset Library
