can not choose the number of VERTICE

hi
I can not choose the number of vertice, scale… and more when i use “add - cylinder or anyelse mesh”…
the panel stay in grey it is impossible to change the parameters…
thanks!

You can only change those numbers immediately after adding the object, before you do anything else. Don’t move the object, don’t go into edit mode, don’t select another object, just go down to the panel and change the numbers you need.

Thanks…but i know i should to do this… but my pannel stay in grey and iti is impossible to change the papameter when i add a mesh!!
i think there is a bug with the last version and my computer!
it is very boring to work!

Is someone have the same problem with the last version…
i have uninstal the last blender and now i work with the 2.67! and it is ok!

I just posted this reply in another thread about the same issue…

I have no idea if this has anything to do with your symptoms so this is just a shot-in-the-dark.

I recently had all sorts of strange issues with new versions which I fixed by generating new startup and userpref files. I had been using same startup files through a number of versions but apparently the latest Blender releases didn’t like that. I don’t recall these specific issues happening but wasn’t modeling at the time. I’m not sure but I think my old userpref startup file was the culprit.

Starting with default startup/userprefs is the best first step in troubleshooting UI and other strange symptoms.

Everything works fine for me on Win7 Blender 2.68a x64.

Btw F6 pulls up a floating panel same as panel in tools sidebar. Is that greyed out too?

@rodcreations - LarryPhilips answered a question I had several days ago that sounds like the same thing going on. I deleted my startup.blend and userprefs.blend and the problem of greyed panels went away. I used the preferences migrate from 2.67 to 2.68 instead of going with all new factory settings and that may have been the problem.
