Can someone help me debug this blend for Kinect/mo-cap?

Hello everyone,
I’ve been trying to figure out why this character is moving with Delicode’s NIMate in the design view, but the character is frozen when starting the stand alone player.

I’m attempting to capture real time movement from a Kinect. The Kinect data maps to empties, a capture armature stretches to those rotations, and then a model armature copies its rotations.

I’ve verified vertex groups, condensed layers, setup logic bricks on the armatures, ensured armature modifier is first on the mesh. I’m out of ideas of what could be wrong.
