Can we achieve something similar in blender?

Hi everyone, I need to know can we achieve something similar in blender, if not in what can we achieve this and how would be process ?

You can do this many different ways in Blender. Hair, Curves, Geometry nodes unless what you want to achieve is something to do with the motion, we can’t tell from the still

something like these?

if so, there’s a tutorial by tnsor to get you on the way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfKQ8m3ZfJM

Yeah, I wanna do a motion, Add that to a live footage like this. will this be possible?

Thank you, will check that, but this is a motion, like can
we direct the splines for desired location

directing the splines would be far more difficult, at least via this method. it’s utililizing the “flow” in noise to direct the splines. it is quite animatable, but not in a way that would be conducive to what you’re showing in the train photo.

one thing you could try, using this method, is a) start with far fewer points than i did… i used a sphere or cube to generate my ‘starting’ points (and you can see that shape in the centerish), then play with noise location, you might be able to get some animated curves that do fit what you’re after. you’ll want the points where you have them in the final render, as moving it could move it in the noise space and change it

made this with blender
particles sim, a hand as collider
convert the system to paths
then use geo node to make the animation

There are different ways to do it, but it’s going to be tough if you really don’t have a clue on how to do it.

The simplest for that shot is to look into curve modifier and try to get various strands of different size and slightly shifted in position to follow one curve, then you can duplicate that setup a few time and build the effect with that.

That’s one way of doing it, but while it might be useful for this shot, it might not be the best for the first image you posted. For that maybe what @KDLynch suggests is better .

Lastly, while the effect works well on that static image, it’s going to be very different with the moving shot. If we take the wheel circled by the effect, how many frames it’s supposed to be on screen when it reach that distance ? Or the train is supposed to stay still and only the camera moves ?

At least if the train moves forward it will change a lot and that particular composition is probably not going to work.

Good luck !

Thank you everyone for the help, I tried my best re-creating it but couldnt achieve the same effect as cinema 4D does, and C4d does this in few clicks, so I had to call it off, but I know there’s alot more to learn when I hit the road block!, Thank you again for the help!!
