Canada's nature

Hi. My goal is to make realistic Canada landscapes which i will be using later for my animations with animals - bears, mooses and wolfes. I will be making these characters later and animating them here.
But also i wanted to find one angle and make still image and since i like film look of it i made it evening and i made it slightly bluewish

This particular landscape - is just my imagination, it doesnt exist and this is how i imagine beautiful Canada mountains lakes and vegetation (had a fun to model especially junipers and tamarack trees) after watching many different images since i never been in Canada.

Almost no png images used (exept for maple leaves) everything modelled and actual geometry. So 68 millions verts, 21 million faces

Still probably need some stones and make few improvements, which improvements ? I want to hear it from you.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? WHAT I NEED TO IMPROVE? ANY COMMENTS APPRECIATED.

I like it! But the mountains need a bit of tweaking, they look like a miniature. I would make them a lot rougher, with more edges, but also less peaky. And then add some in the background so it doesn’t look like there is only one row of them. Look at reference images, you should find a lot of information there.

Definitely lighting!
I don’t know how Canada looks at night but here I miss shadows pretty much evrywhere.
Impressive details!

might add some colored northen lights too !

nice work

happy bl

Thanks guys. I already considered all of your great suggestions and started to improve this image. So will show you new result shortly

Here is a new look after considering all your comments. Which one do you like more previous or a new one?

Image looks a bit blurry but i will fix that (When composited two layers with alpha over node i forgot to check Convert premultiply

The little tree in the right looks really off scale. It looks like you took a fir and scaled it down. A fir shrub would look different : Fir shrub google search
Moutains are like chantilly for me at the moment :stuck_out_tongue:

Apart from this, I’m sure you can make your render look great (other parts of the scene are very nice !)
