I was excited to finally be able to use Blender for a commercial advertising project! We wanted to tell the story of the brand’s mascot, CanMan, returning home, and realized it would be best told with 3D animation. It was my first time attempting character animation, so it took a lot of tutorials and learning to get things to where I was happy.
Compositing into real-world environments also provided a tremendous amount of challenges, from match-moving the cameras, to adding shadows and reflections.
It was a great learning experience, and I can’t wait to take what I’ve learned and roll it forward into another project!
