I’m trying to use the weight painting feature to assign vertices to bones. When I see all the tutorials about weight paining I can see that you are able to see the armatures while weight painting. But when I try to do weight painting I can only see the faces of my model and it appears the armatures are hidden behind the faces.
Select Armature > F9 > Press X-RAY button.
