Cannot Start Blender

Hi

I cannot start Blender. My PC crashes, saying that Windows had to close the program. I looked at the base before leaving that message to find an answer to my problem, but could not get one.

I have Win XP and a Hercules Prophet 3D 9000 as a video card.

Don’t know what to do…I updated my drivers but did not change anything.

If you could give me some advice. I did my best to find the solution but my head is going to explode ;-)))

I have sometime the (looks like) same problem. It happens when the openGL driver doesn’t start.
I just log off, change to admin, after loading log off again and log on as usual.
I use win2k but I don’t think it matters. For testing openGL I use Celestia.
