Can't Download Blender

Hello,
Just decided to go with Blender instead of Maya. However, when I select download from the website it takes a long time and then gives me the message:

Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to mirror.clarkson.edu. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

If I try this way:

“Your download should begin automatically. If it doesn’t, [click here to retry]”

I get the same thing. The website it goes to is: (https://mirror.clarkson.edu/blender/release/Blender2.82/blender-2.82a-macOS.dmg).

I’m downloading for Mac.
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

I have been trying all day with the same results. Anyone have the same issue? Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi. Does this work for you? ( blender-2.82a-macOS.dmg)
https://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.82/

It’s downloading! Thank you!
Why do you think it wasn’t working the other way?

When I was downloading blender 2.82 I was experiencing the same problem. The reason is because so many people are on the site or downloading the latest version, the website gets overwhelmed and instead redirects you to a safe mirror. These are websites that the blender staff have put the files that you need, but if the new version of blender is very popular, even the automatic mirror can crash. I eventually had to find and use a different mirror that I found online.

Oh OK! Thanks!

All versions are always here, in case you have problems downloading them:
https://download.blender.org/release/

Awesome!
Thanks!

i have the same problem but with blender 3.0.1

I’ve been trying to download blender onto my computer but my computer is really old and I’m not sure if I would be able to. It seems like it is going to work but then it says ‘This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor.’ Does anyone know what this means?

Hi.
You try to give more information about your hardware (CPU info) and operating system.
The latest version of Blender with support for 32-bit CPUs/OSs was 2.80.
