I’m trying to install SMD tools on Blender.
I installed it by using a .zip file, but when I try to enable it on the addons window, I receive this message
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
Hi, try 2.67b, i got it activated but can´t test.
If I open 2,68 after installing it in 2.67b it is activated in 2.68.
Older Blender versions:

Cheers, mib.
That worked perfectly! Thanks!
But where is the modifiers button?
I’m following a tutorial that has that button on the editor (right) column.
I am new here, but this is my problem also. I am trying to convert a normal blender file to smd, and don’t see anywhere options to do so. All I can do is make dmx files.
Please Helps
File->Export->Source Engine I guess.
Not sure what you mean.
When you issue the command, based on the Valve tut page, you are supposed to have/see some sort of a menu with items giving you numerous option to export the scene. All I get is …

What I should get is something like this (I use the Milkshape Add-On, as an sample)

Thus, anyone, using SMD Tools, it would be great to let us know, how to make it work.
Sorry, I’m just learning.
Regarding my issue, I solved it, somehow.
It seems I wasnt selecting the object, or something, but now the modifiers tab appears.
Thanks Guys!
How did you do it? (Or anyone else, fluent in Blender and add-ons)
I installed, uninstalled and reinstalled, Blender 2.66 to 2.68. With all those a and b version. 2.68, simply does not work, all others either crash and or give me a run time error, which I am supposed to ignore on their webpage. None give me an options to even select SMD, I simply get a DMX version scene.
So since your’s work, it must be something I am doing wrong with Blender and not necessarily with the add-on.
Any suggestions are welcome.
