Ok this is driving me insane and despite the fact that I spent the last hour or so googleing the problem I am finding nothing.
Here is the deal, I make something nice in blender. I press Numpad 0 to see how it will look when I render and to move around to get a nice shot. I find the perfect spot but then I can not get out of camera view!
If I press e.g. Numpad 3 the view only changes to look at the camera a different way! I cant go back to focusing on the object and continue my modeling.
I know there is a easy solution to this “problem”, but I cant find it.
Try this :
Go into Camera view (“Numpad 0” or View -> Camera -> Active Camera )
From there select the object (Right Click on it) you are viewing from inside the camera
Press “Numpad .” (or View -> Align View -> View Selected)
Press Numpad 3 and it should look at the object now.
Open “N window”, scroll to “View panel”:
-Make sure “Lock to Object” box mentions nothing. Delete the text if there is.
-Make sure “Lock Camera To View” is unticked
