Using 3.4 I’ve tried multiple meshes and various takes on parenting the eyeballs to the eye bones with different tutorials using the legacy and new rig but they never move? Same failed results for teeth and tongue. What am I missing?
IIRC, eyes and teeth are intended to be bone parented, rather than parented with automatic weights. The relevant bones have the “deform” property disabled, so they won’t be taken into account by autoweights and the armature deformation won’t even consider them. (You could enable deform on them if you wanted though.)
Not so sure about tongue. Eyes and teeth work with bone parenting because they’re basically rigid, they don’t deform, but a tongue needs to deform. You might check the relevant rigify bones to see if deform is enabled on the tongue.
