Can't get my object to lay down onto the surface when rendering...

Title doesn’t explain much so here I go…

I just started using blender about a two weeks ago and as I expected there would be a few hiccups along the way. However, whenever i encountered a problem I could always google it, but for this one I haven’t found any solutions.

So in my scene i got a piece of cloth of on a table which is ‘‘animated’’ (or what ever you’d call it) to fall onto the surface to create wrinkles etc. I got the result i wanted in the SHIFT+Z render view, but when i press F12 to render make a final render, the piece of cloth is just hovering in its first state (in a still position above the table). I know this probably has something to do with the timeline and such but I don’t know what to do.

So basically what I want to do is to make the final render, render a few seconds into the timeline if that makes sense (Sorry, English is not my native tounge:)), so that the cloth has time to fall down onto the flat surface before the still picture of the render is made.

Here are some pictures of what I mean.

Thank you in advance, Fabian!

My only guess is that the cloth cache isn’t valid in render because subdivision surface modifier is before cloth, and have different subdivision levels for viewport and render.
