have been making my model in makehuman without rig ,exporting as FBX ,then rigging with auto weights
following the directions of the tutorials and can move the rig but cant seem to bind it to the mesh,am very green can some one point me in the right direction ? see error messages in some portions of my Blender that say no mesh present but I can see it.

also have been reading the Blender manual and a slew of Blender Tutorials for beginners , thanks for your time.
am using Blender 2.79b with,UE4T,Geoscene,Manuel Bastio,CATS,Makehuman but the HMX2 plugin is not working, as plugins and just downloaded 2.80 to look at , figured one at a time , am running in a 2018 Dell dual quad Win 10.
This doesn’t help much i was expecting for a link. But what the tutorial is advice you to do? what are you doing exactly. With rigging many things can go wrong so, it will be better to share the blend file for people to help.

Some time ago I stumbled upon an error that sound similar to your problem. The rig couldn’t be parented with automatic weights. The error message said “bone heat weighting failed to find solution for one or more bones”. I then quickly googled and found the solution for this problem, just add a Subdivision Surface-modifier and the parenting with automatic weights works.
If you got the same error maybe this helps.
thanks will try that, I tried to send you the model but it was to big and is also an anatomically correct female and may offend some.
so I tried a clean model mesh from makehuman no rig and I placed an armature at the shoulder ,extruded to the hand 3 bones , I made the armature the parent with auto weights , the last bone (hand) the IK with Ik
end control , just to test this and the rig tries to move but the mesh does not.still dont know what I am doing wrong

I downloaded your blend file and i rigged and the mesh is moving when i m moving bones here is a file (http://pasteall.org/blend/index.php?id=51139), what is the problem you are facing? can you make a video for us to see what you are doing wrong?
