Can't go wrong in the off-topic section...

I recently downloaded the wiki manual in compiled help form (.chm).

Apparently you have to be on the internet for it to work? Why is that?

Is this a different .chm type than that used in some programs? I know most programs have a help file that doesn’t always need to be connected to the internet.

Is there a version of the wiki manual in .chm that doesn’t have to be connected to the internet?
