Cant install quicktime 7 on my pc

I can’t install Quicktime 7.x.x on my windows XP home edition SP 2. I have quicktime 6 now. When I try to run the .exe, I get the following error:

Quicktime 7 for Windows public preview can’t be ‘bijgewerkt’ (updated/upgraded, something like that’
Uninstall quicktime 7 for windows public preview first.

More movies require quicktime 7 to play everyday, so I would really like to have this sorted:( I hope someone can help me.

Go into your add/remove programs and remove other versions of quicktime. It says there’s a preview version of 7 on there.

Dutch, are we?

I did. I have removed quicktime 6 several times, searched for quicktime files that might make the pc ‘think’ its still installed (Not sure it works that way), cleaned the registry… Nothing helps.

And yes I’m dutch:yes:

Ah, that explains the problem. You need to upgrade from being Dutch to something like British for it to work. :eyebrowlift:

Seriously though, this program should remove the remnants of the Quicktime 7 preview:
