Cant move on XY axis

Hi.

I just realized I cant move stuff on the X/Y axis, only on Z/X or Z/Y. Is it this way with anyone else? Is it a bug? Should I report it? Do I make sense?

I’m wondering if you locked one or more axes in the Transform box, but can you be more specific? What stuff can’t you move, and is it really only in top view?

Well, when I select anything(camera, mesh, curve, etc), and then hit G, then SHIFT-XY, it just lets me move on the X and Z axis, instead of only on the X and Y axis. Im able to move it on the Y axis regularly.

This isnt critical for me to do this, it would just be a little faster. Im past the part where I was trying to do it, but I was just wondering if its a bug or not.

If you want to restrict movement to the xy plane, it’s G then Shift-Z.

That’s right, CD38. Orion119net, what you’re currently doing is basically hitting Shift-X, which locks it in the YZ plane, followed by Shift-Y, which locks it in the XZ plane - at least, this is what it looks like to the computer.
