Very simple question, though I couldn’t find the answer on google. When I go to the rotation tool in orthographic view, I can’t rotate objects along all 3 axis, only two of them and the one that is missing is the most important. Its whatever axis is achieved when spinning the rotation tool clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the view. I’m sure its a simple fix, help is much appreciated!
Can’t do that with the manipulator. Use the R hotkey to rotate instead. You can restrict axes by pressing corresponding keys, e.g. R X to rotate around world X axis. If you want to rotate in other transformation orientation (whichever you have currently selected), press the axis twice. For example, if orientation is set to Local, R X X would rotate around local X axis.
