Can't save Blender files

I just installed Blender 2.62 on a new Dell XPS 8300, and I can’t save any Blender files.

I get the following error messages on the Blender Command Prompt screen:
Unable to open SCSI controller 0:[] , error code 0x5
Unable to open SCSI controller 1:[] , error code 0x2

The program installed and runs fine, but the Blender files will not save. I don’t have any problems saving files in any other program.

My computer has an i7 Core 3.4 GHZ processor, 8 GB RAM, 1GB ATI Video Card, 830 GB free hard drive space, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Service Pack 1

Any help with this problem would be appreciated.

If you have your blender downloaded from graphicall.org, i would have suggested trying another version for your 64 bit win. If that was another source - try there.

I’ve tried downloading from multiple sites, including Graphicall.org. I have the same problem everytime. I can render images, but I cannot save the .blend file. This program produces great images, and it would be a great program IF I could save what I create.
