Can't select any object in cryptomatte

Hi there!

This issue is driving me crazy, I’ve been following this tutorial that teaches the basics of cryptomatting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OykO2GkSyUo&ab_channel=LightSailVR

In minute 1:32, he uses the eydropper in order to select Suzanne. This is where my problems begin. I click the eye dropper to select any object in my scene, but no name appears, and therefore I’m unable to select anything.

I’m currently using Blender 3.6.0 Beta in order to see if I could fix things, but I started the project using 3.5.1; unfortunately the problem was still there.

What am I doing wrong?

P.S.: I have another file where I modeled a table on my own (unlike this chair) and it worked fine.

Have you rendered since adding the cryptomatte node? (You need to)

As the post scriptum says, I have another file where everything worked ok…now I’m even more confused.

I just wanted to say that I copied all my assets into a new file and it finally worked.
