In mesh edit mode, i have 2 planes and then i snap one corner of the first plane to the other corner of another plane so the vertices will overlap each other. I want to select these 2 vertices but while in solid shading mode , i can’t select multiple overlaped vertices using border selection. I only can pick 1 vertex. The only solution is to go wireframe mode or turn on occlude, so when i border select , i can grab both vertices at once.
I think the overlapped vertices should be considered that they are at the same point location where there’s no front vertex or back vertex. So in solid mode when i border select them, i should be able to grab both vertices like any other 3d app. Am i right ?
Yes, there’s the ‘turn on occlude’ that i mean. I dont’ want to do that , in complex object , if i turn that on , i will see through the back detail an harder for me to do clean pick, as i do border select , i may pick up something from the back side. This is not the default behaviour of other 3d app.
This is what i mean when i turn on ‘limit selection to visible’ then doing border selection is not a good idea if i want to do clean selection. I will see a lot of back detail that i don’t want to see. Of course i can select back detail and hide it then unhide it , but that’s not what i want.
