Can't turn Auto-Keying off

Hello everyone,

I’m working on a team project and I’ve recieved a .blend file from a teammate which has an interesting problem. It seems that Auto-Keying has been enabled, as any object I create automatically gets IPO keys whenever I move it or scale it.
In the preferences tab however, Auto-Keying is unselected, as are ‘Available’, ‘Needed’ and ‘Use Visual Keying’. Furthermore, since this problem occurs only with one specific .blend file, the issue is clearly not in the user preferences, but something saved along with that file. The project is too complicated at this stage to simply append everything to another .blend file.
So is there another setting hidden somewhere that enables some sort of Auto-Keying that I do not know about? I have never used Auto-Keying in the past, and now it is resulting in many useless IPO channels for objects which don’t need to move.

I am using Blender 2.49b

thanks,

Mitch

Can you turn off auto-keying using the button in the timeline window header. I believe the settings in the User Preferences are the settings used when you open blender. As you have opened a blend with auto-key on already these prefernces may not affect your blend.

Ah yes,

that did the trick! I wasn’t aware of the auto-keying option in the timeline window…

thanks!

Mitch
