So I’ve been trying to weigh paint a rig that I’ve made, and I can’t seem to weigh paint the bones. I have selected the bone in pose mode, then selected the object I would like to weigh paint it to in object mode, but when I go to Weigh Paint, only the head/object is highlighted, and not the bone. I’ve looked up tutorials and have done exactly what they say, but I still can’t weight paint my animation, please help!
Have you parented the object to the armature with the option “With Empty Groups”? If there are no vertex groups in the mesh with names matching the deforming bones, the armature won’t know how to deform the mesh.
