sounds interesting, but I have problem to use the script.
may be it’s because of a bad video card. I don’t have the full ‘real speed’.
secondly, it seems the script only grab 2 frams then it will stop. for the game has it’s own sensor trigger to trigger some other actions, for example, left mouse click, will
trigger cube’s animation, in the team time, I am trying to trigger the script to capture the frames. it will pop up a “save as” message, you click it will move on.
in the sample blend file, the script is run by “always”, I try to run the script by clicking or by by key board or by property flag set to 1, etc. it won’t work the way I want, it only captures one frame, and it will stop there.
the script needs to be run by a pulse (in my setup from that always sensor) each time you want it to record a frame
so to record while holding down a key turn the pulse mode on for that keyboard sensor
your frame rate WILL slow down
as I said, if you want the animation to play back correctly (at the expense of your game running slower for you) turn on all frames in the game menu.
the sequence editor or any competent video editor [several have suggested virtual dub but I haven’t used it]
so, add a sequence of images [with shift+a, and selecting all applicable images], then do sequence to an avi [you probably want to use another application to get decent encoding to divx or something]
