im VERY new to makign games with blender…but i have used blender for several years for still renders.
im working on making a fairly simple race car sim…and i jsut bought a compy of the blender gamekit book …
im on the second chapter dealing with the game engine, chapter 5, and i decided to start playing around.
i got my car model to go forward, back, left, and right successfully, but i have a few questions/problems:
i have my front two wheels turn when i press [left] or [right] arrow keys… and well it seems to be relative to the camera/view… so the wheels rotate differently depeing on the viewing angle… like inwards/outward etc, in stead of jsut left/right. it doesnt when u are looking dead-on, with the top or side view… until you move the car with the up or down arrow any way to fix this?
also, is there an easy way to:
A- make the wheels automatically rotate back to their normal position after a period of time (not turned left or right)… like in real cars
B-make the car rotate differently depending on the angle of the front tires… e.g. in reverse, if the wheels are aimed left, the car rotates to the right, yet if the car is moving forward, it rotates left? (i already have it so the car body rotates left in both directions)
by simple i mean no python coding needed? i dont refuse to use python, but im jsut not a coder, so it might not be the easiest way for me.
