Car Model - Need advice and help.

Hey guys

I’m trying to model a car. I was doing ok till the cameras didn’t go back to their default places (Like top, side, front) and were always a wee bit in away or something. It caused me to not be able to rotate things properly and I don’t know how to fix it.

I tried to model a toyota supra, which is kind of out my modeling league but I decided to give a crack at it.

I kind of need help with it and any help (or links to relevant tutorials) would be awesome. I’m following some tutorials now and blender is clicking into place for me slowly but surely. Quicker than any other 3d programs I’ve used anyways.

Try www.foundation3d.com. There are two great and extensive tutorial about 80 Mb in PDF one for car and one or Plane Mig3.
There are made for 3dmax but think basic is the same.I m prity much a noob like you and I will probably give it a shot wit this Mig tutorial tumorow.

The reason your camera looks off is you are in perspective mode. Hit 5 on your number pad to toggle this.

I would also turn on auto-perspective in the user preferences, so the top/side/front views are orthographic and anything else it’ll switch to perspective.

quite a nice model, although it can be improved.
May i ask where you got the reference images from?

cheers
