Car traffic simulation

I’m using particles to simulate car traffic. Everything works well, except the height of each vehicle, as seen in the attached pic. Under render, I’m using “group” since I have four different vehicles. All the other settings seem to be ok.

A tutorial from CG Cookie, 2018, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWEwxtu9gGc&t=607s) gave me the idea. Otherwise I was just key framing each car at different speeds. This project was started, and remains on Blender 2.79b, until completion, mid to late 2020.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I say check your object origins, looks like they might be the source of the issue.

Seems like objects which are instanced as particles aren’t located at the lowest point of bounding box.

Serge_L, thanks. That was the issue. The origin had to be in the same location of each vehicle. :+1:
