hey peeps trying to design some decent windows for my evo but with no success just get really cheesy black tinted windows but im planning on doing interior any ideas:yes:
have you tried the glass material from the material library downloadable from the resources page at blender.org?
get sonix material library. great glass in there
I cannot find the glass material there do you know anywhere else i can find it???
if you go to google.com and search for sonix material library you should be able to find it. but here is a glass material anyway.

cheers guys excellent library really starting to take shape though really good use a good tutorial fortyre tread dont want nobbly tyres want v shape tread working round the tire trying to do it with boolean operations to no success

Any one know how to do neon underlightinh that looks real ive tried modelling a tube and setting the light amitence to max but just doesn’t work right any ideas
depending on if you want it to turn on and off, there are a couple different ways. for non-animated light, set the emit to a higher value. for animated add a material, then in the ipo window go to material and add an ipo for emit. this will then allow you to ‘turn the light on and off’
which way did you choose to do it? if you animated it with an ipo curve, you have to move the frames forward for the light to turn on
I just wanted it on all the time so wacked the emit up nothing happened though
thats weird. i know the emitter works. it just makes it look brighter though, it doesnt really illuminate it. to do that you would have to use a lamp inside of the tube with the lamp being the color you want.
