While AO and dirt maps are baking in blender ( Each one takes up to 4 hours for a single room… )

Here’s a clay render of one of the 22 wells in the medieval city.

This one is the great well. Placed in the streets in open air, here:

FIIIIINALLY

Here’s the castle dungeon chapel !!!
Seen from inside unity3D:

The room itself…

A small room aside and after the chapel: It actually contains Gravestones from the Carcassonne lapidary collection.

And a blender wire view of where is located this chapel. The chapel is the model beeing edited, and the orange mesh is the castle dungeon…

Hope you like it

Nest is the ‘fountain’ room. This room was the reason why i took so long for updating news here on BA forum, as it requested rooms levels to correlate. This is why i had to partially rework ( and re-render baked maps ) about height inner places of the castle.

Now all rooms are at their proper heights !
Things will go quicker

Happy blending !

Finally here’s what this well looks like in unity

This well is now integrated in the main 3D scene

Hope you like it !

Hi all

Back there with some news of this room.
It’s been integrated in the whole scene and looks not too bad in unity:

I had to rebake all AO & dirt maps of the surrounding rooms and this was kinda long time to spend

Now For further work it’s less blender and more unity3D for adding features in the application.

Hope you like it !

In U3D, i added many many signs in the scene for guiding the visitor alonf the many routes possible for discovering this amazing medieval city.

You can see one oif these signs at the far bottom of the Library room in the previous post.

I also added many Noticias ( you remember, this little big-eyed-toon able to give media info about the place it lies at… ? ) but there are still dozens to add all around the city.

At last but not least, and at the demand of many ppl trying the app, i added a map system with some signs on it.
Here’s one screenshot of this:

This eases the visit the visitor, allowing him to know where he is and where he should head on for going here or there…

Next big blender works will be the old barbicane ramp, at the west of the castle, outside the city,
and also the beautifull Basilic Saint-Nazaire…
Long hours of work in sight

Happy blending !

For those interrested in it, the latest version of the app ( win, lin, droid ) is available free thru my website

And if you don’t wanna pay for the droid version on GplayStore, just gimme a PM and i’ll be pleasured to give you a hidden download link for the APK.

Please honor me with your feedback
having in mind all this is still a WIP ^^

Thanks to all for your support and patience

and Happy blending !

EDIT:
Things to come now are:

  • I MUST have a look at @dan_wipf latest mTree shaders
  • The huge barbicane ramp at the west side of the castle
  • The Canvas of a quest system
  • ( if i find a realisator, some videos on places, triggered by Noticia )
  • and the big, the huge, the Beautifull Basilic 8-D
  • A way to credit all persons who gave a hand on this project ( i think it’s more than time ^^ )

Hope to hear from you soon

Oh 8-D

I guess it will be more beautifull and faster

For the moment i’m working in U3D on a language translation handler…

I all

Back here after some days and quite bored writing code in unity for the translation engine…

I modeled on of the later parts of the medieval city:
The ramp getting down to the big ancient barbican.
Today the barbican have been demolished but the ramp still exists.
Here is a clay render of it :

And here’s a drawing of what this huge barbican could have looked-like:
old_barb

Irregular stairs/platforms/stairs/platforms… are hell to model :frowning:

Now it’s time for texturing this piece of stonework and set it up in the whole scene.
Some time will also be needed to rebake AO/dirt maps on many parts of the outer walls, as i had to modify the terrain…

Then i’ll go back to my translations for text in textures…

hope you like it

happy blending !

The Plô well:

Hope you like it

Now the app is fully translated in english.
I’m struggling at finding friends who could translate it in spanish and later in chinese and russian

I’ll upload the app on my website this weekend so that all can appreciate texts in english

happy blending !

is it much to translate? i’m native german speaking :joy:

Oh this would be great the carcassonne app could be translated in german 8-D

for now it’s not very big though it deserves some time for translation.
The base principle is text file translation:
Here’s the EN.txt one:
EN.txt (11.6 KB)

This between quotes are the ones needing to be translated.
Aside this there are 3 textures that i’ll have to modify in gimp and that’s all.

Please tell me wether you feel like translating et app in german  this would be very kind of you and will definetely justify the setup of a ‘credits’ page in the application

regards and happy blending

EDIT:
am ready  lol

:joy:

ntower aswelll?

sorry @dan_wipf ?
I didn’t catch what you said

@pitibonom the grey thing i translate the yellow will stay?
