This is one of those projects I have kept returning to during the last couple of months and during that time I have had different ideas about how the final image was supposed to be. However, at some point you have to call it finished, I guess.
Once again - Thank you to all the people who commented on my wip thread. Your feedback was very helpful!
Rendered with Cycles - 1,5k samples
Post processing done in Photoshop.
‘Texture-mixing’ done in Blender with the Stencil Kit addon.
Unbelievable,
I think it’s really cool how detailed this is. Can you tell me how you created the cardboard so nice?
(maybe a wireframe)
Did you texture it with substance painter?
Wow! What a beautiful scene you have rendered! It’s delicate poetry and full of Love. It also reminds me The Little Prince caring about his Rose. Congratulations Dan80.
BTW, how did you solved the little splashes on the umbrella and the character’s head? I’m curious about that
@Ionwe: Thank you! The cardboard material is pretty conplex with a couple of layers mixed together using masks. To create the masks I used image textures, vertex colours and Stencil Kit (it generates edge scratch and cavity dirt masks) - So nope, I did not use substance painter. For the character’s head I did a bit of sculpting to make it look wet and soft. I appreciate the feedback. I will post some wireframe images later, I do not have my PC at the moment.
@Mr. Chuan: So glad you like it. The little splashes on the character’s head are simply made inside Photoshop with a splash-image - nothing fancy there I’m afraid.
You too!
@grabeunwik: I usually just do product visualisation and car renders, but I really did enjoy working on this project. I will probably do more of this in the future. Thank you for the feedback!
Erel96: Thank you! That would be great ^^
Nexus6: Thanks!
reynante: Thank you. Yea, I think you are right - The umbrella is too far away from the plant. However, I’m really glad you like it.
