Caricature style character

Hey everyone,

Here’s a fun little project that just started out as a quick timelapse head. I quite liked the initial result so I decided to go on with it for a full character. So here’s what I’ve got so far for the head. And yes, this time I’m actually going to do a body for this guy, which of course will also be very stylized

Enjoy!

Ugly but nice. Very nice detail Mr B, top job! A good texture map and it will look awesome.

Thanks ozo. I’m planning on trying out the sculpt/paint tools for the detail and texture work so we’ll see how that goes soon as I’m finished modeling. In the meantime here’s an update.

Nice, it’s got a lot of style. Are you going to give him hair or will he stay bald?

wow very nice…ill doubt you will need the sculpt mode that much since this already is very detailed…

Ahhhhh, finally got back to this guy. I’ve been really busy trying to finish up my dvd and a certain lady friend
Anyways, I went in and modeled the entire torso from scratch (excluding the pecs and shoulders).
Comments and critiques welcomed as always.

Very nice modelling. Wonderful musculature. I would be interested to see wires of his back. Also interested to see how you develop the arms, the shoulders look considerably smaller than the rest of his characature.
Kudos for not only your clean modelling, but also for your lighting and rendering setup.

Looks good - especially the modeling of the muscles. Just one comment: the pecs seem a bit “squeezed under” (exerting pressure on) the collar bone (which is very low itself). The pecs are actually fastened to the collar bone, so one usually only sees the definition of the upper part of the collar bone.

I’d also be interested in wireframes of the muscles.
