I’m very new to using Blender and this is my first figure. I’d appreciate any suggestions.

For your first time this look pretty good! I can’t even do this yet! But I do stink at character modeling. The only thing that I would suggest is to make the hands a little more detailed. Good Luck with the rest of the body!
Looks good, especially for beginning to get into blender.
A couple suggestions:
What are the little extrusions at the bottom of his belly? I assume they are meant to be fur like, and if this is the case it may pay off to make them a little more uniformly distributed around the bottom of the stomach.
He’s a little lumpy in the torso area. You might want to spend a little more time sculpting/refining/topology work in there.
Outside of that it looks good for a first couple of steps character model (better than some of the crap I put out when I started).
Thanx for the suggestions. Back to working on the character and smooth him out more!
