New project I started today, modeled off the following image:


So far I have done nearly all of the modeling, save for a few details. Working on lighting right now (can’t seem to get the lighting right at all, having trouble lighting for an outdoor scene like this, where I want to maintain the integrity of a lot of the shadows but still have enough light overall to keep the scene looking like its morning/midday. As you can tell, the whitewashing of the render underneath the house is not desired).

Will be moving onto materials next, have a few in place to give myself a benchmark when doing test renders for lighting.

Suggestions?

Note: Second render has grass particle effect applied, alot of whitewashing there too.
