I’m I’m working on a castle interior. Here’s an in progress render. No flames on the candles, no furniture etc…I’m working on making this a set of interconected parts that you can quickly knock out a big castle interior with. Here’s the link to the image in case it’s to big to fit in this box: http://www.dougturner.net/intweb.jpg
It’s rendered in blender with ambient occlusion and just lamps. I am trying to get a very realistic candlelight interior feel. The part in the background is a staircase - it’s kind of hard to tell. My biggest problem is getting the normal map to behave. To much and it looks like plastic, not enough and it’s flat.Comments appreciated.
Wow, I love it! I assume you used the vaulting script for that arched vault? Don’t know if you’ll take this as a compliment or an insult, but it looks like it could be a screenshot from a next-gen video game. Very good job on the lighting, it really adds to the medieval ambiance of the whole thing.
Thanks, and I have no idea what a vaulting script is. I’m a python retard. I only use vert editing. I know nothing about nurbs, beziers etc. I love video games, so I’m pleased you think it looks like that.
