CD Burning Help with Ubuntu...

Let give some backstory:

OK, I’ve been having some downloading problems on XP; I just COULD NOT get files over a certain size, files that were HUGE (i.e., a linux CD image[iso]), that should take an hour or so, appeared to be done in no time.

The key word is “appeared”.

Because of course, anything that huge shouldn’t be downloaded instantly…

Now that I have linux, my downloads are fine…

I downloaded video linux and used K3b from the repository to burn it to a CD.

Then it crapped out on me…and hasn’t worked since…

It’s not the cds, 'cause I’ve tried a few other discs and I get the same error…

Anyone else having burning troubles, and is there another cd burning software for linux that I don’t have to compile?

X-cd-Roast

CD/DVD Writer GnomeBaker

Graveman

gcombust

Xfburn

all are available for me in the add/remove button in the Applications menu. But my repositories are updated so I don’t know if they’ll show for you. If you want you can update yours too if you look at my post in your first linux experience thread.
You could also search http://packages.ubuntu.com/ to see if it has some.
