center objects and bake transforms

Hi,

I have 3 problems and Google search did not help me.

I have a car with different components, all components (wheels, body, etc) have pivots centered in geometry.

  1. I want to center whole car to origin but I don’t know how to keep the relative objects in same position to car body. If I select all car objects and center, all go to center(body,wheels, etc).

  2. I started to model from wrong rotation, so I rotated the whole car. Is any way to bake the correct rotation into geometry?

  3. Is any way how can I group different objects into an empty object to keep them like in 3DS Max? I would like to group all wheel components into an objects with out joining geometry.

    Ctrl+A allows you to clear the objects rotation.

    Ctrl+P parents the selected objects to the active object. Ctrl+G allows you to organise selected objects into a group (look in Object menu on 3d view header for other grouping options)
