I’m looking for a master rigger. We need a setup that will move the legs, body and antennas automatically as the bug moves on the surface. The speed of the legs will change according to the speed of the bug of course. We already have a rigged version (WIP) but you can scrap it all if you want. (Available on request, too big to send here). The bug will be animated on a path so the body should curve accordingly. Please give me your estimate for the cost and time. Only give your submission to me directly in private message. You have the OBJ file here if you want to experiment. centipede.obj.zip (2.7 MB)
scutigera move super fast so I assume there won’t be a long close-up of it? asking this to assess the level of fidelity you need exactly. They also don’t exactly slow down as far as I’ve seen, they either stay at cruising speed or stand perfectly still -are you going to show it moving in slomo or something?
There’s a long close up money shot of the bug. It will stop an go. Yeah, I kind of understand that they always walk at the same speed. But there are closeup shots for sure.
Alright, that’s a bit too involved for what I can spare right now, so I’ll have to pass. Too bad, this is an interesting one. These are excellent references by the way !
