Centrino - Extreme Graphics 2

Does anybody know wether blender is usable on Centrino-Notebooks?
Centrino has the the graphic-chip integrated. So it’s not the best. The technical specifications say:

Spécifications techniques du i865G :
Support 3D : DirectX 7, OpenGL v1.1

But when I asked the fujitsu-siemens-support they told me that the chip is not OpenGL-accredited. :-? So, can I use blender on Centrino (no slow CPU-based OpenGL-emulation)?

blender runs, almost regardless of the graphics chip

get the latest drivers, and blender shouldn’t crash

I don’t think you will get any opengl acceleration
(and if you choose to run linux at some time, good luck gettting things to work)
