I wanted to reverse the subject and environment. I figured many people would make the subject the hologram and the environment reality, this reverses that while trying to make you think that the hologram is reality. If you don’t know, this is a recreation of a holodeck scene from Star Trek The Next Generation. The Arch is used to interface with the holodeck and the doorway is the way back to the main part of the ship.

There are two different things we call “holograms”
One is those stickers you say, which is something I wanted to try, but had to go do something else xD
The other is casted 3D image on glass, it has to be illuminated by a laser to be created, and the same type of laser has to be used to view it. It creates images based on light interference.
Both are pretty cool to watch lol
Oh, I think we’re still talking about a different thing. Those are more like stereographic images… I’m talking about those colorful holographic stickers used to seal boxes and show something is “good quality”
I tried to make a very very very simple material to create a Denisyuk hologram, I think thats how they’re called
