Not much time this WE: vacation is calling.

So Distribute-Points-in-Volume-Node to the rescue!

Old Versions

I tried a different fish form which matched the image better. but it didn’t look swarmy enough:

Something simple. Fiance and I have been trying to get “stronger together” before our wedding, lol.

Hey! Welcome to the challenge. I guess, ‘wedding’ would also have been a fitting idea for this week’s theme.

Everything new except for trees. The cannon is inspired/copied from a tutorial from polygon runway, but also freshly created today

edit: played a bit with color and lights

Well it looks like I might be missing another week or two while I look for a new computer.

Pure blender 4.1 cycles entry.

Note: I just realized that this ties in with last week’s honey badger.

Ugh, yuk that repair.

Yeah, I’m just gonna get a new laptop instead. My bank account is gonna be looking pretty sad either way.

That doesn’t sound good! $1728 in repairs? Something really terrible must have happened to that laptop.

Dead GPU that can’t be replaced without replacing the entire motherboard (thanks a lot MSI) + broken hinge that can’t be replaced without replacing the entire casing(good idea MSI)

I would be replacing most of it anyway so might as well get a new one (not MSI this time)

That’s a funny typo, had me laughing for a while.

I thought: There must be a mistake, I never wrote that :stuck_out_tongue:

Im using a desktop PC for my personal stuff and a laptop for work. I really hate it when something is wrong with that laptop. It is so mach harder so figure out the issues and repairing something is usually a nightmare. E.g. I had to take everything apart and cut and melt little plastic pins - just for replacing the keyboard.
Not saying that replacing the PC’s mainboard would be a lot of fun - but the same issue on a laptop usually multiplies the pain.

Unfortunately I need to use a laptop because I can move it around and use it in different positions which is easier with my chronic back pain. They often times aren’t built to last though…

Did it overheat to the point of soldering itself to the PCI slot?

All I know is that there’s a short in the GPU. Pretty likely overheating had something to do with it, because it would get extremely hot when rendering.
