“There are two main goals for these contests: Fun and Glory.
Fun: You get only 4 days to create a cool image, based on the theme for the week.
Glory: After 2 days of voting, a winner is declared. The winner picks the theme for next week and will be featured in the Feature Row.”
Blender 4.2 cycles pure entry. I had to create a new file and append all my objects after for some reason all objects insisted on having the same materials. Must have accidentally pressed on some keys.
That moment of overconfident expectation to create an even better reference photo than ever before(Vanellope von Schweetz btw…), combined with a deep dive into sculpting perfection, only to look at your masterpiece at 1 AM and think… I could’ve just gone to bed instead. XD
I’m finally done with my entry for Kinetic Rush, but I have no energy left to make anything this week. Instead, here’s my donut from 3 1/2 years ago. I’m not actually sure if this is my original one or not, but this is the oldest Blender render I made that I can find.
I hope so… It fits the theme quite nicely, that earlier today we went to a restaurant we had never been to before. And now, a few hours later, my stomach starts to feel… not so good. Let’s see how this goes.
I should probably start putting something on the plate as soon as possible.
edit: I’ll follow @Gismo_Wander’s suggestion, go to bed and try again tomorrow.
@Trentle - I almost lost respect for you after seeing that donut, but then I checked out your Kinetic Rush entry. Really good work on that one!! Good Luck!
@PMDesigns - Mind if I use the image you posted as a reference for an animation I want to create?
Had an idea for an animation with my usual character this weekend, who doesn’t have a mouth, involving a cream pie, but I’m still working on a Kinetic Rush thing. I won’t be done on time and won’t be entering, but I’m going to finish what I started. I’ll just be a month late…
True, but 1 AM was for the drama . Anyway, I solved the problem by building a whole new car, moving the model far away, and putting on glasses. Not perfect, but it works for the picture!
@Trentle 's entry reminded me that I never made to mandatory blenderguru donut tutorial so I tried to quickly make up for that… well actually without
doing the tutorial…
